Event Description The Friends of the Archibald MacLeish Collection at Greenfield Community College celebrate the life of Archibald MacLeish (1892–1982), who lived in Conway, Massachusetts for more than half a century and whose long and distinguished career included work as a lawyer, teacher, Librarian of Congress, Assistant Secretary of State, writer, playwright and most of all, poet. Featuring poetry readings by GCC faculty and staff and others, and including a dedication ceremony for the new Archibald MacLeish Room in our renovated main building. |
